It takes grit to start succeeding, but at a certain point you will go further when you bring in expert help, and become part of a community of other leaders. The ‘grit goes further together’ positioning speaks to this truth, and to bring it to life we gathered a collection of great leaders to tell this story in a visually iconic way.

The Icehouse exists to help grow the engine room of the New Zealand economy by accelerating the capability of its business owners and leaders by providing the country’s best business focused programmes, workshops and one-to-one advisory services.

We worked with the Icehouse on their brand story, and on creating strong separate identities for both the Ventures side and the capacity building side of the business. 

To bring the brand to life we put together a photo and video shoot, working with the Collective Force and Josh Griggs and Regan Tate. We communicated a personal approach through incorporating filming apparatus and set elements and having our talent speaking directly from their experience in the videos.

The idea was for the leaders to share how far grit got them, but how it was the bringing in of extra expert advice and support of the programs at the Icehouse, and the community of their peers they trained with that lifted them to new levels. 

We got the group together to show how sharing information, strategy and the good and hard times is such a powerful part of the Icehouse UVP. 

The assets and look and feel then became key elements of an updated website, and their wider marketing activity.
